Step 1: Cut 2 strands of 7/8" Grosgrain ribbon, measuring 19.5" each. Cut one end straight and the other end at an angle. Heat Seal all ribbon ends. I am using yellow and apple green, but you can use two pieces that are the same color if you prefer.

Step 2: Make your twisted boutique bows! I am just free handing mine but there are several different methods you can use to make these.

- Make your top right loop by folding a ribbon end over to the center. - Make your top left loop by folding the ribbon over to the center, overlapping your first loop just a little bit.

- Make your bottom right loop, slide your ribbon under the top loops just a little bit. - Make your bottom left loop and bring the tail up to the top right loop.

I use alligator clips to hold everything in place.

Step 3: Use your salon clip to hold the center of the bow. Tie your bow with upholstery thread or something similar - you need a strong thread for this step.

Step 4: Gently pull on your loops until you achieve your desired look. The best thing about the octopus bow is that your loops on the twisted boutique bows don't have to be perfect!

Repeat the method you used to create a second twisted boutique bow.

Step 5: Flatten out one side of each bow.

Step 6: Smash the two bows together on the sides you flattened.

Step 7: Make sure the centers of both bows are lined up. Tie them together using your upholstery thread.

Step 8: Make a knotted center. Place the knot on the center of your bow. Heat seal the ends and hot glue both ends to the back. Attach an alligator clip or ponytail elastic to the back.
