Christmas will be here before we know it!  So, today I'm going to show you how to make this adorable Christmas Tree Ornament.

Supplies Needed: 3/8" Grosgrain Ribbon in Red and Emerald 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon in Emerald Beads (ANY kind you want) Hot Glue Gun & Glue Scissors Needle & Embroidery Thread Alligator Clip Felt

DSCN5133DSCN5134 Step 1: Cut a long piece of your embroidery thread and fold it in half. Loop the needle through the ribbon and tie the open ends into a knot. Cut a small piece of felt (You can use any color you would like to) and hot glue the knotted end of your thread to it.

DSCN5135DSCN5136 Step 2: Heat seal one end of your 3/8" Emerald ribbon. Make a loop 1.5" long and using lightly glue it down. Thread your needle all the way through the center that you glued. The piece of felt is now at the bottom of your Christmas tree. Tip: If you want to make a bigger tree increase the length of this first loop. Remember, your tree will be double the size you choose for this loop.

DSCN5138 Step 3: Make your next loop and thread the needle through the center. Try to make each row of loops even. For my first row each loop is about 1.5" so the base of my tree is 3".

DSCN5143DSCN5144 Step 6: Continue making your tree and adding your beads until you are at the top of the tree. Make your top 2-3 loops without any beads inbetween them.

DSCN5145 DSCN5147 Step 7: For your last loop cut the ribbon and fold it in half before threading the needle through. Heat seal the end before folding it. Cut your needle off of the thread and tie a few knots down to the top of the tree.

DSCN5148 Step 8: Tie a loop with your thread. This is the part you are going to use to hang your ornament. Cut off the excess thread at the top.

DSCN5149 DSCN5150 DSCN5151 Step 9: Make a bow for the top of your tree. Cut 4" of Red 3/8" Grosgrain ribbon. Loop your ribbon into an awareness ribbon shape. Push the loop down to form your bow.

DSCN5152 DSCN5153 DSCN5154 Step 10: Use your thread to wrap the center of the bow and tie off. Once your bow is secure you can gently pull on the loops and tails to form them how you want. Now, wrap the thread with your 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon. Heat seal both ends and use hot glue to secure the ribbon.

I had so much fun making this cute ornament and I can't wait to hang it on my tree. I'm planning on making a few more with different size beads!
