Are you ready to get BOO-tiful with this adorable Halloween Ghost Hair-Bow? Gather your supplies and let's get started!
Supplies Needed: 7/8" and 3/8" White Grosgrain Ribbon 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon - Orange Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sharpie Marker Small Rhinestone Upholstery Thread Scissors Lighter
Cut three pieces of your 7/8" White ribbon - Two pieces at 8" and one piece at 2". Heat seal your ribbon ends with your lighter.
Fold the ends of your ribbon together to form a circle. You can add a small dab of hot glue to hold the ends together - but don't use too much!
Flatten out your circle, make sure the glued piece is in the center of the bow.
Crease and fold the center of your bow, wrap your upholstery thread around the center and tie it off.
Repeat the same steps for your second bow but after tying off the bow leave your thread attached.
Put a small amount of glue right below the center of your first bow, press your second bow up against it. Hold the two bows together until the glue dries. Wrap the thread around the center of the bows several times and tie it off.
Wrap the center of your bow. Take a piece of your 7/8" white ribbon and glue it down to the back center of the bow.
Wrap the ribbon around the front of the bow and around to the back. Cut the ribbon, heat seal the end and glue it down to the back of the bow.
Now your bow is finished, we are going to create our ghost.
Take your 2" piece of ribbon, fold it in half long ways. Use your scissors to cut one end of the ribbon - Start at the open side and cut up to the top. This is your ghost body so you want to make sure it is round.
Use your lighter to heat seal the round part of your ghost body.
Draw your ghost face using your sharpie marker.
Cut a 4" piece of your 1/4" orange ribbon. Heat seal the ribbon ends.
Loop the right side of your ribbon over, use a small dab of glue to glue your loop down.
Loop the left side of your ribbon over and glue it down.
Add a small rhinestone to the center of your bow. I used this small black star I had but you can use whatever you would like.
Add your bow to the top of your ghost head.
I decided my ghost was too long - I folded the bottom up and glued it to the back of the ghost.
Add your ghost body to your bow.
Add your matching lined clip to the back of your bow.
My bow had lost it's shape while adding the different pieces to it. To fluff it back up I gently pushed on the ends of the loops. To make your bow stay like this spray it with hairspray or stiffener spray.
Your Halloween ghost hair-bow is all finished and definitely boo-tiful!
